History :
The History of Champagne Moreau is set over 80 years and four generations.
1932, founder Elie created his own brand : "Champagne Elie Moreau". His son André took over the family business with his wife Ginette. Together they made the domaine flourish.
In 1985, Fabrice succeeded to his father with the focus of enlarging the marketing of champagne wines. With his wife Noëlle, they gradually expanded their vineyard and kept on looking for new lands to cultivate. Fabrice's son Nicolas was foreseen as the next generation of wine-grower. In order to perpetuate a family heritage, Fabrice created the SCEV "Fabrice Moreau & Sons" on May the 12th 2016.
About us
Nicolas graduated with a diploma in "Wine-growing/Oenology" and a licence in "Agrarian Ressources & Sustainable Development". Eventually, he moved to a Master's specialized in "Wines and Champagnes" to perfect his knowledge. He joined his family to take the lead of the domaine like his father and grand-father before him.
In 2017, the champagne Nicolas Moreau was born. Strong of his heritage, Nicolas pursues the quest initiated by his family. He is developing the brand's packaging of the different Vintage collection. He is expanding the brand to an international clientele while bringing a new environmental vision to the champagne he nurtures with passion.
Vineyard :
The domaine extends over 5 hectares around the beautiful region of Epernay, Hautvillers, and Chouilly.
The vines cultivated in our vineyard are Chardonnay (60%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Pinot Meunier (10%).
